Puppy

According to the BDSM community, a puppy is a person who acts like a dog in situations known as puppy play. Although they can be of any gender, submissive persons typically adopt the role of puppy master or trainer, while their dominants do the same. Although it probably started in the gay community and is still mostly done by males, puppy play has spread to other demographics as well. The Old Guard leather scene is thought to be the source of it.

They even have their puppy pride flag, which consists of a red dog bone on a background with blue, black, and white stripes.

Puppies enjoy embracing their animal nature, letting go of their human inhibitions, and forgetting about the worries of daily life. Many people merely like or get off on the dynamic of puppy play, even though it may involve sex. Like dogs, adults may live in the present and have more spontaneous lives by acting like puppies.

It's hard to say how common puppy play is. According to Dr. Justin Lemiller's survey of 4,000 adults for his book "Tell Me What You Want," 10% of them fantasized about dressing up as an animal for sex. The growth of the puppy community in several cities, including Seattle, San Francisco, and New York, was reported in several stories in 2015.

Another name for a puppy is a human puppy.

More About Puppy

Many puppies grow up to be a particular breed and personality. For instance, a kind and affectionate dog may pretend to be a golden retriever. As part of their puppy persona, puppies may also go by a puppy name. It is a way of living that offers lots of attention and positive reinforcement through pats and verbal praise. Many community members may play with their dog "pack" of pals at a club or other social setting.

Puppies typically have a master or owner who instructs them, walks them on a leash, and shows them affection or discipline as necessary. Put another way, the dynamic between the puppy and its owner resembles that of many other dominant/submissive partnerships. The "pup space" or puppy headspace, which some have referred to as primordial, is also enjoyed by those who engage in puppy play.

Many of the items used in puppy play are similar to other BDSM items but with a puppy twist. This includes leather puppy masks, leashes, collars, and harnesses. Additionally, butt-plug puppy tails are not unusual.

To differing degrees, puppies adopt the characteristics of dogs. While some pups just role-play occasionally, others live as dogs all the time. While some will only growl and bar, others are happy to converse while in character. While some people can go about on two legs, others must crawl.
