Pillory Bed

A stock fitted into the footboard or headboard of a particular sex furniture bed is called a pillory bed. The stock of a pillory bed comprises a vertical wooden frame or post that wraps around a person's ankles, wrists, or head, much like the stocks used to punish offenders in the Middle Ages.

In BDSM play, this kind of bed is usually used to restrain a person. Another name for it is a bondage bed.

More About Pillory Bed

In a BDSM session, a subordinate partner might lie on a pillory bed. Depending on how the bed is made, the stocks of the pillory bed encircle and constrain the sub's ankles, wrists, and/or head. Although the shape and location of the stocks will affect its design, the pillory bed's function will not change. With this piece of furniture, the submissive person is restrained and prevented from leaving the bed.

Alternatively, a submissive individual can enter the stock by standing at the head or foot of the bed and bending at the waist. For rear-entry sex positions or slapping a partner's back, this position is perfect.

A dominating partner can torture and tease a subordinate as they like after a pillory bed restrains them. This could be mildly sensual play or more intense experiences with floggers, whips, or other tools. Penetration can also happen through sex toys or sexual contact. The purpose of medieval stocks was to humiliate the populace. Similarly, the dominating partner in a BDSM scene could humiliate their submission by using a pillory bed.

Before trying out bondage furniture like pillory beds, some people might want to experiment with other bondage supplies like tape, ropes, and wrist and ankle shackles.
