FemmeFunn Vortex Wireless Turbo: Sex Toy Review

I can very clearly recall my very first vibrator. When the insertable shaft was inserted, the tip of the rabbit-style vibrator created enormous circles. Nearly all rabbit vibrators were made with these rotating heads back then (maybe 12 years ago, now?!?!); vibrations and tips created explicitly for g-spots weren't very "in" then.

Additionally, I recall that the first vibrator was made of a very foul-smelling jelly. When I misplaced it beneath the bed, I "found" it partially melted into a t-shirt dyed the same colour as the t-shirt. People, there's the significance of having sex toys that are safe for the body.

Everything I liked about that vintage style is carried over into the FemmeFunn Vortex line, which also features the high calibre and body-safe design that modern toys are expected to have. Furthermore, you may essentially "pick and choose" your favourite design from the three toys in the Femme Funn Vortex series, all of which come with that distinctive revolving head!

Introducing FemmeFunn's Vortex sex toys:

  • The Wireless Turbo Rabbit is most likely the Vortex sex toy for you if you have a nostalgic attachment to the revolving rabbits of the past. This Vortex vibrator has a realistic, rotating shaft and a vibrating clitoral pleasure with two "rabbit ear" ticklers attached at the end.
  • The Vortex Wireless Turbo Baller is the same shaft design. However, it has noticeable, lifelike testicles at the base if you don't want the clitoral attachment but still want the most realistic appearance. With the Turbo Baller, you receive a more useful insertable length than with the Turbo Rabbit because the base testicles are a little lower than the clitoral arm.
  • The FemmeFunn Vortex Wireless Turbo Shaft is the last one. With only a shaft connected to a suction cup with a flared base, it is the "simplest" of the three. Because of its straightforward design, it is the greatest rotating Dildo for use in a strapon harness. A strapon harness has no additional "stuff" that would interfere with its comfortable use. Additionally, since nothing else can shorten it, the FemmeFunn Wireless Turbo Shaft provides the maximum penetration length.

All three types include a wireless remote control, which makes it simple to operate the toy while playing—no awkward reaching or halting of activity is needed! Eight pleasure levels of vibration combined with rotation, a rechargeable and waterproof construction, and a Boost button (to immediately raise the intensity to push you over the brink!).

I have a review of the FemmeFunn Vortex Wireless Turbo Shaft, which you are currently reading! I had high expectations for this product, given that the Kinkly Shop likes and praises the FemmeFunn Booster Rabbit and the FemmeFunn Booster Bullet.

Let's investigate it.

How'd You Use It?

When I took the Wireless Turbo Shaft out of the package, my first impression was its length. At this diameter, this is among my longest dildos. Although the toy's diameter and width are still very narrow toward the tip, it is by no means a short dildo. In my opinion, it's even more slender than my partner's natural penis. (It becomes significantly thicker as it approaches the base, reaching a thickness of around 1.9" in diameter at the bases.)

It falls into a special category as a result. Toys this thin at this length are incredibly uncommon. I thought the length was rather long, but I quickly resolved by adding our OhNuts. I can make sure that the penetration depth remains at a level that is comfortable for me. Still, I don't lose out on any of the pleasurable sensations I'm aiming for with this Vortex dildo because all of the vibrations and rotation are concentrated at the tip. (Check out my review; I adore my OhNuts!)

However, the Vortex's spins and vibrations are just amazing. They are most enjoyable to me when they penetrate shallower, but I appreciate that the Dildo may also be longer for others who prefer deeper penetration. Although I have a deeper g-spot than the maker claims, I haven't noticed that the rotations hit it. I assume you would require a smaller g-spot (or p-spot) to allow the Vortex rotating silicone vibrator to reach your location. (Not "shallow" as in "closest to the entrance," but rather "not too far from the path of the inserted object")

The FemmeFunn Vortex vibrating and rotating Dildo fits in perfectly with our sex life thanks to the remote control. I was taken aback by how nicely the two got along. Since the Dildo is too big to play in public, the remote control only needed to be good enough to work in the bedroom, which it did perfectly. With the toy in place, it acts as the bedroom and performs flawlessly when seated beside each other.

Even if you're not the one experiencing the feelings or can't hear the toy buzzing, the remote's buttons give off a pleasant, gratifying "click" to let you know that the command was carried out. Press and hold the power button on both devices, and they will naturally communicate. I could even pair them successfully when I couldn't locate the instruction booklet. It's an effortless and enjoyable experience, just as a remote control should be.

When the Dildo or remote becomes a little low on power, I've observed a slight latency in the connection. When you intend to use the remote, I recommend fully charging them because it improves their compatibility.

The possibility of the engine jamming is one of my main worries with rotating toys like this one. I've experienced some very awful rabbit feelings in which I was having so much fun that the rabbit's motor stopped up the moment I tightened. In lesser settings, the FemmeFunn Vortex may also experience that issue, but it is mainly resolvable. Tight pressure can slow down the motor at a specific location around the middle of the shaft. However, this jam-sensitive spot can be moved away from the strongest muscles at the vaginal opening if you experiment with depth (penetrating more or less in).

I pulled the Dildo out a little farther when I noticed the motor slowing down, and the motor gladly restarted. The next time it happened, I tried to dive a little deeper, and even though my body wasn't as at ease, the rotations gladly resumed.

However, none of that matters when the toy is in Turbo mode. Tightness may impact the motor speed at lower settings. However, Turbo is unaffected and will continue rotating for 10 seconds despite obstructions. I even attempted to place my entire, somewhat large thigh on top of the Dildo. In Turbo mode, it continued to rotate. Turbo mode is serious business.

I must admit that all of the control choices pair the rotations and vibrations together, which makes me a little unhappy. Neither the rotations nor the vibrations can be used alone. The packaged bargain is always yours. One cannot just obtain one or the other. To make this Dildo a little more versatile for days when you just needed spins or vibrations, I would have loved to have them separated.

The patterns offered are very nice. The typical bzzt-bzzt patterns included as "patterns" by most manufacturers are not the only ones you have. The patterns on the FemmeFunn rotating silicone dildo spice things up between the vibrations and rotations.

1: steady vibes and the slowest rotations

2: Consistent vibes with medium rotations

3. Steady vibes and the fastest rotations

4: Dot-dot-dot-dot vibrations during rotations

5. Rotations that are jerky with dot-dot-dash vibrations

6. Dot-dot-dot-dot-dot slow rotations that give way to continuous vibrations and the quickest rotations

7: A brief period of slow revolutions followed by a brief period of medium rotations

8: Rotate as quickly as possible for five pulses, rest, then rotate slowly until there are no more pulses, then repeat

The turbo button, which produces potent vibrations and absurdly erratic spins, comes next. After that, the vibrator will return to the pattern you used (1–8). Even the strongest standard setting cannot compete with the Turbo mode, which is much, far more potent than everything else this rotating Dildo has to offer.

Strangely, the Turbo isn't a permanent setting, but I'll assume it's a temporary (10-second) setting because it's too hard on the mechanical components to be a constant setting. The Turbo button appears to be intended for a brief, 10-second intensity boost, but you can hit it as many as you like (if necessary). And it's effective for that. That is a guarantee to get me over the brink if I struggle. (At this point, I can picture a vibrator that uses air suction and something like that. That sounds wonderful.

I believe dildos with realistic designs will be incredibly soft and somewhat lifelike. That's usually the case, especially since most dildos don't have any internal components that must be crammed within. But that isn't the case with the FemmeFunn Vortex Wireless Turbo Shaft. The FemmeFunn Vortex Wireless Turbo Shaft is a bit firmer than anticipated, where it matters most—during insertion—because the Dildo is packed with various mechanical components, including rotation and vibration mechanisms.

The Vortex Wireless Turbo Shaft feels supple under your fingers. It has a lot of give and is easy to squish between your fingers. The outer layer of softer material will squish around your fingers, but it won't bend at all.

There are advantages and disadvantages to this inflexible design. The main drawback is that, well, it's inflexible. Though not as hard as the We-Vibe Rave or Satisfyer Multifun 3, it feels more rigid than almost all of my realistic dildos. It's much more fluffy than that, but I always find it strange when toys that appear lifelike are so stiff.

The main advantage of this hardness is that the Dildo glides in quite smoothly and doesn't inadvertently slide out again. The Wireless Turbo Shaft does not "fold in" on itself while under pressure, in contrast to many realistic dildos. No matter where you put it, it remains sturdy. This is particularly useful when using a strapon harness because you might not be able to see or feel what you're doing with the Dildo. It will undoubtedly go in the hole if you point it in the proper location and begin to apply pressure. When pressure is applied, it won't flex or slide away from the area. One-handed insertion is simple. There is no need to guide or support the length. And that is unquestionably a fantastic pegging bonus.

The suction cup base makes it easy to hold in your hand. However, where does the Wireless Turbo Shaft truly shine? Use a strapon harness. There is essentially nothing else in the sex toy industry like it because of its body-safe material, harness-compatible base, rotations, and ease of penetration. The Wireless Turbo Shaft easily slides into a harness because it has extra arm attachments and no testicles, while the other Vortex toys are a little more challenging to strap on.

How Else Could It Be Used?

Additionally, the Wireless Turbo Shaft is entirely waterproof. This implies that it can accompany you into the shower and use its suction cup while you're in the shower. According to this, the Wireless Turbo Shaft Vortex dildo is also incredibly squirter-friendly. Although you would want something like the Liberator Fascinator Throw to protect the bedding, it is doubtful that you will damage it in any way with bodily fluids.

The FemmeFunn Vortex Wireless Turbo Shaft (and its particularly enhanced counterpart) is ideal for use with Liberator sex furniture like the Liberator BonBon if you don't like using the suction cup or want a little more "reliability" with something that doesn't rely on suction. Without worrying about the suction cup's strength, the shaft can slide inside the form to be easily held.

Product Details

The biological penis inspired the FemmeFunn Vortex Wireless Turbo Shaft. Since I don't believe I've ever seen that many extremely noticeable veins on a penis with sunken skin surrounding them, it's more akin to a caricature of a human penis. Therefore, I would argue that it was "inspired by" a biological penis more than it was strictly realistic.

The material selection for the Vortex Wireless Turbo Shaft further enhances this "realistic" look. The silicone has a good amount of softness. Although FemmeFunn made every effort to guarantee that the section that might prod you the most—the tip—was created with more plushness, you can't avoid the reality of a semi-rigid lower half of the Dildo where the mechanical parts are located. The top part of the Dildo is plenty plush to squeeze, but the tip is quite soft. There is very little plush on the bottom half of the shaft, which is undoubtedly the most stiff. There is an area of really soft material in the center of the Dildo that you can physically squeeze to feel the exact boundary between the revolving tip and the mechanics.

The suction cup base is fastened to the base of this lifelike Dildo. In addition to having a suction cup, this base has a flared design. Its flared base shape makes it simple to strap into a strapon harness, and its suction cup feature lets you attach it to flat surfaces for hands-free play.

Sincerely, this suction cup is fantastic. While writing this review, I used it to suction tables, the tiled shower wall, and even my laptop (for a funny video I sent to a buddy). Turbo's spinning was so intense that my entire laptop was being moved.)

I wouldn't suggest the Vortex Wireless Turbo Shaft as a nice dildo base that would deliver clitoral sensations to grind against when using it for pegging because the suction cup design is "hollow" underneath it (the suction cup). The base is concave; therefore, there aren't many grinding regions. If you desire clitoral sensations when pegging, you should use the BumpHer or Shagger pegging bases.

Although it vibrates and rotates, the FemmeFunn Vortex rotating dildo doesn't make a lot of noise. When inserted, it still hums softly, but it's (obviously) louder on the Turbo setting. With its ability to blend into the background, you may not even notice that you're listening to it. It's not annoying or whiny. The engine doesn't grind or produce any other noise, even if it catches. Considering everything, it's quiet, and my non-rotating toys are noisier than this. This is readily discrete if the door is closed and some ambient music or television is on.

As previously stated, the rotations and vibrations move in tandem. You only receive the eight patterns (plus turbo mode) that are preprogrammed into the FemmeFunn Vortex rotating Dildo; you cannot control each one separately.

As previously said, the rotations are very robust. Moving the Dildo around usually unjams it, and the firmer settings don't get jammed at all, even though you can jam them up on the lowest levels with specific dildo placement.

You do get some movement close to the base, even though the upper half of the Dildo is the primary focus of the rotations. Although you probably won't notice much of it when using it, you can see what I mean in some GIFs. It's primarily just the momentum of the upper half. The top 3.5" or so of the Dildo at the tip should be the emphasis of the spins.

You probably didn't discover the FemmeFunn Vortex based just on vibrations, although the vibrations aren't nearly as strong as those of most vibrators. Instead of becoming a brilliant star on their own, the vibrations appear to be intended to complement the rotations. The centre of the vibrations seems to be roughly 3" from the Dildo's tip, specifically inside the base of the rotating tip and behind the fake skin folds close to the head. The vibrations are mediocre, and I would think that most individuals wouldn't be able to have clitoral orgasms with them if they weren't combined with the toy's rotations and insertable design. That's not nearly as significant because they're within a revolving toy made for penetration.

The location of the vibrations is crucial, and since they are directed at the Dildo's revolving tip, you receive vibrations precisely where the most sensation occurs. Even though the vibrations are significantly weaker at the base, they are still roughly 80% as strong throughout the rest of the shaft as at the base of the Dildo.

How It Works

Compared to typical vibrators or dildos, the FemmeFunn Vortex Wireless Turbo Shaft is slightly different. Unlike conventional dildos, which only vibrate or do nothing at all, FemmeFunn Vortex body-safe sex toys both rotate and vibrate.

You can regulate these sensations using the remote control or the buttons integrated inside the Wireless Turbo Shaft shaft.

The remote control has two buttons. The button at the top is the "Boost Button"; pressing it rapidly causes the toy to switch to its highest vibration and rotation level. The On/Off/Adjust Modes Button, located at the bottom, allows you to change the current enjoyment level and switch the vibrating Dildo on or off.

But you may also manually operate the revolving and vibrating Dildo if you'd like. Like the remote, the Wireless Turbo Shaft has two buttons on its shaft. For example, on the remote, the power button is located closest to the button. Another Boost button, situated above the power button nearer the tip, is ready to deliver immediate intensity.

FemmeFunn prioritized enjoyment over practicality in this situation. The Wireless Turbo Shaft's two buttons are located inside the shaft. In essence, it appears like FemmeFunn wants to emphasize having a very soft and spongy feel across the entire Dildo, as close as feasible to the base. This indicates that the control buttons not located beneath the base are concealed beneath a substantial half-inch squishy material to push. This implies that it's not easy to press these buttons worldwide. Since the buttons are inside the insertable area, it's not too stressful on the finger (see at you, Thump-It plug!). Still, it can be challenging to locate the button precisely, particularly if your fingers or the toy are lubricated.

Because of this, the maker designed this vibrating Dildo to be controlled by a remote control. Therefore, I advise utilizing it whenever you can.

Press the on/off button for three seconds to activate the FemmeFunn Wireless Turbo Shaft. (The vibrator can be turned off with the same press.) Once the vibrator is turned on, press the on/off button to cycle between the various vibration settings. Push the "Boost" button to activate the strongest sensations the Vortex dildo offers. The vibrator will remain in Boost mode for ten seconds before switching to its previous setting.

Switching between the remote and the vibrating Dildo is simple because the button combinations are the same.

Materials and Care

This type of rotating-head Dildo is frequently constructed from materials that are harmful to human health. However, the Wireless Turbo Shaft is an exception. The same high-quality, body-safe silicone used to make all other FemmeFunn sex toys is used to make this one. Because of this, it has no taste or odour and is safe to apply to your body. (Yes, of course!)

You should choose a water-based when applying lubricant (which I highly recommend!). If you want to use a silicone-based lubricant, perform a spot test on the Dildo's base because silicone-based lubes can break down the silicone substance.

This rotating Dildo from FemmeFunn is relatively easy to clean thanks to its waterproof design. All you need is warm water and a gentle soap safe for silicone (most gentle hand soaps are good). Rinse it to remove all the particles, then use soap to scrub it. Ensure you fully clean the toy by getting into all the nooks and crannies because the Wireless Turbo Shaft is tactile. The "skin" that folds close to the head needs special attention. You may also use any regular condoms to cover the Wireless Turbo Shaft if you're as lazy as I am. When you're finished, you'll still want to clean it, but you won't have to worry about being quite as meticulous. You can charge this FemmeFunn Vortex toy once it has completely dried. It's easy to charge. Making sure the Vortex dildo is completely dry is the first step. You must clean and dry everything before charging it because the charging port is in an insertable location.

The charging cable is plugged into either the remote control or the Dildo. True enough, the remote control can also be recharged. Cheers! Although you can't charge the remote control and the Dildo at the same time as you can with the OhMiBod Club Vibe 3 Oh Hero, you can still charge both with this one cord.

FemmeFunn states that the charging time will be approximately two hours. Insert the cord into the remote or the Dildo, and the light will flash (for either one). Once the light flashes continuously, the remote/Turbo Shaft is finished charging, and you can remove it.

FemmeFunn clarifies that after the Dildo and remote have finished charging, you must unplug them. You shouldn't leave this sex toy on the charger until you happen to walk by it and realize it's charging. If it overcharges frequently, I suppose the battery they've been using may get damaged. Allow the FemmeFunn rotating Dildo to charge, but remember to set a two-hour alarm and unplug it as soon as the allotted time has passed.

You can store your Dildo after you're done. I have a minor gripe about the FemmeFunn Vortex Wireless Turbo Shaft: it never returns to an upright position when turned off. Instead, it usually veers off to one side or the other, but it rotates when it is turned off. This might not be a big deal in a storage pouch, but since the FemmeFunn vibrator comes with a box with a fitted tray for a perfectly straight-up dildo, putting this toy back into the box is a frustrating experience that I detest. It will never come back in perfectly ever again, and I can't even begin to tell how much that irritates me.

FemmeFunn offers a one-year manufacturer's warranty in case something were to happen to your Vortex sex toy. Keep your email receipt from Kinkly Shop because this one-year warranty requires your name and proof of purchase for your vibrating Dildo. If the item is discovered to be defective due to material or artistry flaws, FemmeFunn will reimburse you for the cost of returning it.

The Packaging

The full-color cardboard box that the FemmeFunn Wireless Turbo Shaft dildo comes in is incredibly durable. The vibrating Dildo is delivered to you safely in this extremely sturdy box. For a sex toy, the box is astonishingly well-made; the toy itself, which is emblazoned on it, has a glossy, laminated feel, in contrast to the cardboard's otherwise quite smooth, matte texture. The box is easy to wrap up and durable enough for storage, allowing you to stack many more boxes on top of it. But bear in mind that it isn't discreet at all (with a massive image of the Dildo on the front).

Every item is seated inside a foam cut-out tray inside the box, which was made especially for their shape.

The charging cable, quick-start user manual, remote control, and the actual Dildo are all included in the FemmeFunn Wireless Turbo Shaft vibrating dildo box.

The Verdict: 5/5

With all the features you wish had been available in the "olden" days of sex toys, when shaft rotations were popular, the FemmeFunn Vortex Wireless Turbo Shaft is a wonderful throwback. It has a suction cup base, is remote-controlled, the shaft hardly jams, the material is entirely body-safe, the Turbo mode is fantastic, and it has a one-year warranty in case the internal mechanisms break down. Ten years ago, it used to happen frequently, but now you won't be left feeling like a dud.

I have mixed feelings about the extra-long length. I wish the shaft material had a little more give, but it has a good amount. Bottoming out is uncomfortable for me, but OhNuts promptly fixes that. Additionally, I genuinely value the longer length because it helps the Dildo reach my desired destination when I strap it on for other people.

The supplied patterns aren't simply dull, blech selections; they're rather enjoyable and a welcome change from usual sex toy patterns. However, I would have appreciated a means to use the rotations and the vibrations individually.

Overall, I have very few complaints; the only one that isn't a matter of personal taste is the inability to distinguish between rotations and vibrations. FemmeFunn did a fantastic job with this one, honoring a timeless style while modernizing it to make it a distinctive choice for 2021. When the FemmeFunn Vortex Wireless Turbo Shaft is offered at the price it is, I see no reason to purchase a lower-quality swirling dildo.

How to Buy a Dildo

Presumably, if you're looking out for the FemmeFunn Vortex dildo and you've got it this far, you could be in the market for a dildo. Props to you - dildos are frickin' fantastic, and silicone dildos have upped the game in terms of realistic-feeling dildos.

I would suggest the following advice to anyone looking to buy a dildo:

Knowing the size you're looking for is crucial. From the thickness of your finger to the size of your forearm, dildos are available in a broad range of sizes. Make sure you are aware of the size that fits you best. Measuring your previous Dildo and determining its diameter and length is the best way to handle this. Measure your typical dildo-using fingers if you have never used one before. I advise starting with a dildo in the 1.25-diameter range for vaginal peepers and the 1"-or-slightly-above range for anal peepers if you don't currently use your fingers for penetration.

Pay attention to material options. Always go with non-porous whenever possible - and at least phthalate-free and body-safe. With the cheaper silicone prices nowadays, you can get basic silicone dildos (super body safe!) for less than $50. I recommend you do that if at all possible - or at least shop a body-safe sex toy store like Kinkly Shop that's only going to offer options that are as body-safe as possible for you. Some dildo materials don't belong inside your body.

Decide on a base design that you like. Decide what you want to do with the Dildo and choose a foundation accordingly. A flared base is necessary if you intend to incorporate the Dildo into a strapon harness eventually. It requires a flared base if you wish to use it for anal. A suction cup dildo is most likely what you want if you want to use it hands-free. Some double-ended dildos, such as the spiral staircase, maybe a better option than getting a flared base if you'd prefer to have two sensations in one.

I would always suggest reading the excellent information on how to pick a dildo that can be found on Kinkly Shop.

Other Options

There aren't many options available if you're looking for body-safe, rotating-tip sex toys that also vibrate. While there is a market for these rotating sex toys, the great majority of them are made of dubious, porous materials, some of which include phthalates. Some companies make rotating dildos with swirling beads; you may recognize that iconic design. Unfortunately, beads jam very easily, so your "swirling dildo" quickly becomes a grinding, screeching Dildo.

FemmeFunn does, however, have another toy with this swirling-tip enjoyment. It's the FemmeFunn Booster Rabbit, a non-realistic rabbit-vibrator variant of the Vortex series' rabbit-style alternative (the Wireless Turbo Rabbit). With a slightly different design and a playful, non-realistic color, this rabbit-style vibrator has the same "vortex" tip as the Vortex line. Both toys have the same "Turbo" features that you have grown to love (I hope from this review!).

I would recommend the Evolved Big Shot if you're a massive fan of the FemmeFunn Vortex Wireless Turbo Shaft's highly textured design. It lacks the rotating head but still has the FemmeFunn Vortex dildos' incredibly realistic, textured design. The Big Shot, on the other hand, is notably thicker; however, in addition to its vibrations, it also has liquid ejaculation capabilities, which is beneficial for fans of acum dildo.
